KEF’s home audio accessories are tailored to produce the best possible audio quality in our hi-fi speaker systems. Depending on the home theater setup, you may require a specialized amplifier or power supply to ensure each speaker is operating at its intended output.
First, the KEF KASA500 is a subwoofer amplifier crafted for our in-wall subwoofer designs (the Ci3160RLb-THX and Ci4100QLb). Powered by a Class-D Dual 250WPC amp, the DSP-controlled unit brings out the best in our Ci subwoofers. On the unit’s face, adjustable gain, speaker phase, and frequency controls allow you to find the optimal bass for any room. When connecting your subwoofers to the KASA500, you have the option of mono LFE or stereo RCA configurations, with both line level and speaker level inputs. To sculpt the sound further, an optional high-pass filter gives you more control over the low-end frequencies. In short, the KASA500 powers our in-wall subwoofers to their full potential.
Meanwhile, if you’re using KEF’s motorized in-ceiling speakers in a home theater system, you need an adequate power supply to keep them moving. The KMPS-7 can provide 12V of regulated power to 7 KEF motorized loudspeakers — such as the Ci200.3QT and the Ci3-80QT — so they operate quickly and silently. Link the KMPS-7 to your speaker setup with CAT-5 connectors or binding posts; from there, the integrated controls allow you to adjust the motorized speakers with a 12V trigger, switched outlet, or manual input. With a slim housing and removable rack ears, the KMPS-7 also includes home audio accessories like a 3-prong power cable, an additional 2-prong line, and a 1/8” male-to-male mono cable.
