Q Series Gets A High-Tech Makeover

With over sixty years of innovation and dedication to the art of reproducing sound in as accurate a way as possible, KEF recently introduced the all-new Q Series.

Over the last decade, KEF’s engineering team has hit full stride, developing products and components that have constantly pushed the upper limits of what is considered possible in audio reproduction, and the results are in the listening. Blade, Reference, R Series and the LS family have all benefited from this relentless pursuit of perfection. Each line has featured new technology, and each line has benefited from innovations first introduced in other lines. This reciprocal relationship between each product line assures each KEF customer, at each price point, gets the ultimate in state-of-the-art audio reproduction regardless of what product they purchase.

This unique facet of KEF’s engineering and design philosophies has never been more evident than with the release of the all-new Q Series Meta.

Q Series Meta is the latest generation of the revered Q Series that was first released in 1991. Since its first release, Q Series has always presented a low-cost option for ultimate high-fidelity. If you are just starting your audio journey or you are seeking the absolute best quality system for the dollar, Q Series Meta has answered the call.

The new Q Series Meta features:

  • 12th Generation Uni-Q with Metamaterial Absorption Technology, designed specifically for each Q Series Meta product
  • Q11, Q7, Concerto and Q6 Meta all feature a three-way design for outstanding clarity and bass response
  • Updated low-frequency drivers replace the ABR’s found in earlier Q Series products
  • Flared bass ports reduce noise and improve low-frequency response
  • The crossover was completely redesigned using measurement techniques developed for LS and Reference
  • Shadow Flare, first introduced with Reference, drastically reduces distortion-causing cabinet diffraction

Each technology was first introduced in our flagship products, making Q Series Meta a super-affordable way to hear the best sound reproduction KEF has to offer. And we’re proud to say…that’s saying something!
